Their story begins way back when in 1998! Garrett decided to switch schools and attend Berean Academy in little bitty Elbing for his sophomore year of high school. Little did he know it would change his life and a sweet little something would come across his path.

Her name was beautiful, Natalie. And Garrett would spend the next 3 years of high school in the same class as her, wishing to say something, but never saying more than a “hello”...

Fast forward to 2003, some several years later, it was time for a reunion of sorts at Berean Academy Homecoming! This happens to be a place where many such couples have found their life loves...

Natalie was attending Kansas State University in Manhattan at the time and Garrett was only 11 hours away at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. But that evening it was fate. Garrett desperately wanted to ask that sweet girl out, but couldn’t quite get the nerve so he planned a “group date” and casually invited her along right there on the front row of bleachers. His plan worked out perfectly! Of course there wasn't too much to “reminisce” about since their high school experience didn't consist of much interaction, but a relationship quickly developed after exchanging phone numbers and email addresses. Many thousands of emails and instant messages and phone calls later their was an obvious connection.

Over spring break they finally got the chance to go out on their first official date. What fun it was! And date they did... for nearly 6 years! God’s hand was at work in each of their lives and brought them closer and closer together. They definitely had some fabulous dating years full of fun, and despite the questioning from friends and family about the idea of getting married, Garrett and Natalie were thankful they followed the Lord and waited patiently for just the perfect time, being fully committed to one another and understanding the true meaning of love.

In March of 2008, Garrett finally bought that precious ring. The one he knew she was dreaming of, but he hung on to it for just a bit more, waiting for the right time!

On October 17, 2008, when Garrett proposed to Natalie, and managed to surprise her even after 5 1/2 years! She was thrilled and said “YES!”

We are both so thankful for our wonderful family and friends and all love that has been showered upon us as we plan our exciting day!! Your love and prayers are so very appreciated as we begin a brand new and thrilling chapter of our lives!

Today I will marry my best friend.

Wedding Details

Natalie Beth & Garrett Paul will tie the knot on Saturday, the 4th of April, 2009 at 1:00 PM. You are invited to the wedding ceremony to be held at Newton Bible Church, 900 Old Main, Newton Kansas.

You are all invited to a fabulous dessert reception following the wedding in the church Banquet Hall!
